The contract between RSPCT LTD and each brother who uses the app.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RSPCT app and any related services provided by RSPCT LTD ("RSPCT", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be:
(a) at least 18 years old,
(b) male (RSPCT is a men's brotherhood; gender attestation is part of sign-up), and
(c) legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
If you do not meet all three, do not create an account. Misrepresenting eligibility is grounds for immediate termination.
To use RSPCT you must verify a phone number via one-time SMS code. You are responsible for keeping your phone number secure and notifying us if it is compromised. One account per person. Creating multiple accounts, sharing your account, or impersonating others is prohibited.
RSPCT is built on the Code of Honor that you accepted during onboarding. These principles are binding terms of your use, not aspirational suggestions:
Respect everyone, every time. Be real, no games. Connection over ego. Honor boundaries and consent. Protect the privacy of every conversation. No unwanted visuals. Keep it safe and clean. Integrity in private. Raise the standard. Leave people better.
Violating the Code is grounds for warning, suspension, or termination at our discretion. Severe violations (harassment, threats, illegal content) result in immediate termination and may be reported to authorities.
You agree NOT to:
• Harass, threaten, demean, or stalk any other user.
• Send unsolicited sexual content, images, or links.
• Impersonate another person, create fake profiles, or misrepresent your identity beyond reasonable anonymity.
• Use the service for commercial solicitation, spam, or unauthorized advertising.
• Share another user's private information, messages, or screenshots without consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent rate limits, gates, or anti-abuse measures.
• Use the service for any illegal purpose.
"Your Content" means the profile data, messages, identity mark, OmniMe responses, and any other content you submit through the service. You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting it, you grant RSPCT a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process Your Content solely to operate the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except as required for legitimate legal, security, or backup purposes.
You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
Automated safety screening. To protect the brotherhood and comply with applicable law, every chat message you send is automatically screened by a third-party safety service (OpenAI Moderation API) for indicators of self-harm, sexual content involving minors, threats of violence, harassment, and hate speech. Screening is automated and typically completes in under 300 milliseconds. Messages that the screening flags as concerning are reviewed by RSPCT's platform administrators. We may take action including warnings, suspension of your account, or, in cases involving risk to life or violations of law, contacting appropriate authorities. See the Privacy Policy for full details on what is transmitted and stored.
Push notifications. If you grant the notification permission, RSPCT may send push notifications to your device for announcements, brotherhood events, or replies to your messages. Push delivery is performed by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can revoke the notification permission at any time from your device's system settings. We do not use push notifications for advertising.
RSPCT includes a Trust system where users may express trust toward one another through explicit "I TRUST YOU" presses and through engagement in real conversations. Trust scores are visible to other users in the brotherhood. Trust is:
(a) a social signal only — not currency, not redeemable for anything of monetary value;
(b) non-transferable;
(c) subject to server-side rules including cooldowns, daily caps, and anti-gaming logic, which we may adjust at any time to preserve the integrity of the system.
Attempting to game, inflate, or fraudulently obtain trust is a violation of these Terms.
You can connect with other users through the matching system and through the Beacon.
Personal Stealth. You may place any user in personal Stealth at any time from the chat header. This hides the user from your view of the app — they are not notified, and they retain full ability to use the service with everyone else. Personal Stealth is reversible from the Stealth list in your settings.
Platform Stealth. When five different brothers independently place the same user in personal Stealth within a 90-day window, the system queues that user for Platform Stealth: a 30-day read-only state during which the user can observe the app but cannot send messages, post answers, give trust, modify their profile, or appear on the Beacon. Platform Stealth is automated and is designed to encourage reflection on the Code of Honor.
Reporting. You may report any user for Code of Honor violations. We review reports in good faith and may take additional action including warnings, suspension, or termination.
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By accepting these Terms you also acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time from the profile screen. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or the Code of Honor, with or without prior notice depending on severity. Upon termination, your access to the service ends and your data is handled according to the Privacy Policy.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for downtime, lost messages during outages, or data loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, that any specific brothers will be available to connect with, or that any specific outcome will result from your use.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RSPCT LTD and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the prior twelve months (likely zero, as the service is free), or (b) 100 ILS.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold RSPCT LTD harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, the Code of Honor, applicable law, or the rights of any third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel.
If you are a consumer with mandatory rights in another jurisdiction (e.g., EU consumer law), nothing in this section limits those rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Code of Honor constitute the entire agreement between you and RSPCT LTD regarding the service, superseding any prior agreements.
